I received my B.A. in Classics and Latin from the University of Georgia, and completed my M.A. and Ph.D. in Art History at Emory University. My current research examines Minerva as a Roman goddess apart from Athena, from the Etruscan period onwards with a special focus on Domitianic Rome. Other interests include the role of myth, religion, and politics in Roman self representation/imperial propaganda, classical reception in pop culture, and American neoclassical sculpture.
