Biography

Patricia has recently submitted her PhD thesis "Open Secrets and the Retention of Power in Esoteric Non-dual Śaiva Philosophy: with special reference to the Netra and Svacchanda Tantras" to the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London. She holds and M.A. in South Asian History from SOAS and an M.A. in Eastern Classics from St. John's College, Santa Fe, NM and B.A.s in English and Religious Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She currently teaches at Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar, India. In addition to academics, she has also worked as a journalist as an editor at Mediagazer, the arts and culture editor at the Santa Fe Reporter and Weekly Alibi, as well as a print, radio, and internet freelance journalist.
