Biography
I am an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Iowa State University. My research focuses on two related areas, which I situate in relation to Hinduism: the intersections of culture, cognition, and religious experiences and the relationships between religious beliefs, practices, and desire modulation. Most of my research has been qualitative and historiographical, but I've also designed and conducted a quasi-experimental research design in West Bengal, India.
